I love that Oliver is really starting to enjoy reading. The "experts" always say to read to your child everyday and I found it hard when he was younger and had no interest and probably couldn't even see the images. When he was about a week old I started reading The Mosquito Coast to him, but I couldn't get into the book and he would just sleep through it. I would also read him articles from Time magazine. If I were to try to do that now he would grab it out of my hands and eat it.
Now, though, he loves to turn pages, point at animals, and occasionally snack on the book we're reading. He really loves "touchy feely" books that he can "pet." I hope that he will grow up to love books as much as I do!
