Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was really great this year. The pictures can sum it up better than my words can!

Pineapple Turkey Centerpiece. Shane's dad thought it was a rooster...because everyone has a rooster centerpiece for Thanksgiving:)
The GORGEOUS salad that Irene made! It pained everyone to eat it because it was so pretty!

The Crew! Not pictured; Lily (she was sleeping) and Shane (taking the pic)
L to R; Kayley, Zack, Jess, Gram (Tom's mom), Theresa (Irene's sister), Tom, Oliver, Irene, Sheena (Shane's sis), Mark (Sheena's fiance) and Holden (also his first Thanskgiving!)
Lily having her own Thanksgiving feast...her fist!Happy baby and happy Grammy!Playing with GrampySleeping with Great Gram. She wanted so bad to hold a baby in each arm, but they wouldn't cooperate and took turns being grumpy all day!The desserts! Peanut butter cup pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin streusel bars, chocolate mocha cake, and blackberry pie! Delish!Kayley and Zack impatient for some dessert!Sheena with the newest addition, Holden!

RS Christmas Activity

Last week we had our Relief Society Christmas Activity. We made bows for wreaths, decorative boxes, and decorated cookies. It was a lot of fun and I appreciate the effort that everyone put into the evening! Here are some pictures of my handy work!
Needless to say I've been munching on Christmas cookies all week! We're not getting our tree and wreath until December 12, so this was a fun little prequel of fun Holiday things to come!

Lily Bean

I don't know why, but I've been calling Lily "Lily Bean" lately. Oliver, who picks up on everything, has now started calling her BeanBean!
She had her 2 month appointment this week. She weighs 12lb 7 oz and is 23.5 in long! She is 50th percentile for both. Her head is in the 25th percentile. I also found out she has a yeast infection...under her neck rolls! So we just have to be more diligent about keeping them clean and dry from now on!
We've gone walking quite a bit this week. I don't know if I've blogged about this, but about a month ago I bought a double jogging stroller on craigslist for $40. The stroller retails new for $250! It's been nice to have it so that I don't have to carry Lily while Oliver is in the stroller. She does NOT like the Maya Wrap, which Oliver LOVED. I'm hoping to score an Ergo baby carrier for Christmas. Does anyone have one? If so, do you love it? What don't you love about it?

love this girl's smile!!

I'm just expanding his imagination!

It always amuses me how Oliver can turn anything into a play thing. He loves turning his food into cars...fries, sandwiches, chicken nuggets...Whatever he eats ends up being a car at some point. He also loves stacking anything that can look stackable. I was wondering why he turns these non-toy items into toys, when I realized what I have him play with in the bath...That's right...his baby soap, a rubber duck in a bikini (it was for Lily, but I felt bad that he had no toys), an empty soap bottle, a tupperware bowl, and a hair serum tube. The boy HAS to use his imagination with toys like these!

Future Architect?

Oliver built this stucture all on his own the other day. He loves to build things and then run out of his room clapping because he knows he's built a master piece! I love seeing his imagination at work!

Halloween Happenings

My little Candy Monster!
Farmer Brown
Baby Chick
Farmer with his just hatching chick!
Helping PopPop carve the pumpkin
Even though we didn't end up trick or treating (Oliver was just too tired!) we still had a super fun Halloween! We went to a party with Oliver's little friends, then we surprised PopPop in our full costumes! Oliver helped him carve a pumpkin. For dinner we had burgers and brats and for dessert we had pumpkin streusel bars. After sucha big day, Oliver went to bed early like a good little farmer should!
