I feel like I haven't really been updating on Lily's progresses, weight, things like that, so I'll try to sum up Lily at 7 months the best I can:)
On Thursday she had her 6 month appointment (1 week shy of 7 months!) and she was 21lbs 1 oz and 28 inches long. She was in the 95th percentile for weight and 90th for height.
Lily has her 2 bottom teeth in. The first came in on March 25, the second on April 5th. I know when she's getting a tooth because she wakes up every 45 minutes at night. Oy.
On regular nights she wakes up about 3 times a night. Sometimes 2, sometimes 4, but I'm to the point that I barely wake up to nurse, so its not too much of a bother.
She is still in her co sleeper. I'd say that by the end of May we will need to move her into her crib because she is quickly outgrowing the co sleeper. It is so nice to have it, though. A lot less reaching in the middle of the night. Lily also has 2-3 naps a day. As long as the fan is on in the room, she'll stay asleep for at least an hour, which is nice. I have to bounce her to sleep, but I'm just glad I don't have to nurse her, which is what I had to do with Oliver.
Lily is still exclusively breastfed. Well, unless you count the time I found three peas in her diaper that she had obviously scavanged from the floor... I love waiting to feed solids because it reduces the time that I have to exclusively use baby food. Really, I could probably put her a high chair with Cheerios and she'd be able to pick them up now. It just comes down to the fact that it is cheaper and more convinient to just nurse!
Lily LOVES blowing raspberries. It's her favorite thing to do. Its adorable...except in the middle of church which seems to be her favorite time to do it... (video to follow when I get batteries in the camera)
She is SO CLOSE to crawling. She can shuffle her way backwards, but hasn't quite mastered forward motion. She can only roll from her belly to back still, which is frustrating, because once she is on her back she acts like a turtle stuck on his shell. She just screams and flails until I sit her back up. She wants to move SO BAD. Of course, I would to with a 2 year old constantly terrorizing me. Although, I don't think she sees it that way. Many times Oliver is the only one that can get Lily to smile. She loves him so incredibly much. When she is fussing in the car (which is often) we tell Oliver to laugh at her, and he does a fakey little laugh, and she just starts cracking up. It's great! Earlier this month we moved Lily up into her convertible car seat, which makes her happier in the car because she can see Oliver, and makes me happier because I don't have to haul her infant carrier around.
Well, I think that's about it. We love having our sweet little girl, and are excited for her further developments!
