Not sure why but our little boy likes to suck on his own lips. He's a silly little man.

Happy Valentines Day!
We celebrated Valentines Day last night to avoid the crowds of couples that may not appreciate a crying baby or me nursing right next to them:) Shane got home when I was still at my parents. When I got home I was greeted with a dozen roses and a big heart box of chocolates. Oliver was also greeted with a little heart box. It was extremely cute.
At 6pm we went out to (of course) the Italian Farmhouse. We had a gift card from Shane's mom from Christmas that we were able to use, or else we wouldn't have been able to afford to go out to eat, so we were very grateful for that. We were not the only ones with the pre-Valentines Day idea. We were seated next to a couple that brought their 10 month old baby. He was very cute, laughing and waving at us through the meal. For appetizers we had fried raviolis and an eggplant and portabello dish. They were both so delish. We had to take turns eating while the other one held the baby standing up, because he'd whine if we didn't. We didn't mind, though. For a main course Shane had fettuccine alfredo and I had straw and hay which is fettuccine carbonara. Shane fed me my meal while I nursed Oliver. It was very sweet of him. We both had leftovers of our main meals, they were so rich! To finish we each had a piece of peanut butter pie. I would have gotten pumpkin cheesecake, but Shane refused to share his pie, so I got my own. What I think was cool was that our bill was exactly 36 cents less than the gift card! Perfect!

Mmmmm home cooked meals!
On Saturday we went over to Shane's parent's for dinner. Irene made delicious steak florentine with sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, and baked potatoes. We also had an asian salad and for dessert we had boston creme pie (my fave) and chocolate creme pie. It was an awesome meal. Oliver must have thought so too because he rolled over twice for them! Yesterday mom made stuffed shells for me. They were delish...free food definitely beats living in Scotland:-D
Last night Shane gave the opening prayer at the Stake Priesthood meeting. After the meeting the Stake President approached him and said "If you keep giving prayers like that, you're in line to be a stake patriarch someday!" It was a major compliment.
Hopefully we'll get some video on here tonight.

Babys sleeping! Quick update!
I don't get to upadate this too often because Ollie doesnt like it when I use the computer. He and Shane are upstairs sleeping, so I will update quickly. Sunday the Camerons came over for a late lunch. I can not describe how good it was to see them. It made Shane and me really miss living in Somersworth where we could just call up the Cameron's to go for a Friendly's or Rosebud run with us. They brought Oliver pretty much the best present ever. I don't have a photo yet of him wearing it, but it is a bib that says "mmm...boobies..." If you know Mike at all, you'll know why this bib is oh so appropriate coming from them:) I have my breast feeding group tomorrow, and you better believe Oliver is wearing it there:-D So we had spaghetti carbonara for dinner and I have to admit it was delish. I always amaze myself that everything I make comes out so well. I always expect something to be wrong with it. I guess I should trust myself more. That night we went to my parents to watch the Super Bowl (we don't have a T.V.) and sadly watched to Pats get spanked by the Giants. But the Giants definitely deserved to win, so we won't whine too much about it. Also, neither of us really care that much about football... Monday was a very big day for Oliver....he ROLLED OVER!!!!!!!!!!! THREE TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was super exciting, though he hasn't done it since, and I'm the only one who saw him do it, so I'm afraid that no one will believe me! My little baby is growing up and rolling over! I can't believe it! Shane and I were talking tonight that he has the rest of his life to be independent, we don't need to push him on it now. That is how we justify him sleeping in bed with us every night:) Its so nice having the whole family in bed together. It might get tougher the more kids we have, but we'll manage. I just love Shane so much. He is a great dad and a great husband. I am so abundantly blessed. We're getting closer and closer to closing on the Subway, though it could be as late as mid-March now that we are closing. But it will happen eventually....maybe...
Picture explanations...
1. Oliver is really starting to get into his toys! He loves batting at the toys that are attached to his arch. He loves the crinkly lady bug wings
2. This is Oliver wearing size 0-3 overalls that appear to be shorts but its just because he is huge. He is 2.5 months in this picture.
3. New outfit from Great Aunt Sandi and Great Uncle Ralph
4. Big strong man!
5. In his Sunday best:) Which reminds me, while the sacrament was being passed on Sunday Oliver thought it would be a good time to fill his pants....loudly. The bishop's wife was sitting across the aisle from us and trying hard not to laugh out loud at the sounds coming from his bottom! What an irreverent boy!
